MG Astor to be launched in India on 11 October 2021

After a long wait, MG Motors will finally announce the Astor price in India on October 11. The upcoming MG Astor is available in eight different options: Style, Super, Smart Std, Smart, Sharp Std, Sharp, Savvy, and Savvy Red. At launch, the car will be offered in five color options, namely Spiced Orange. , Aurora Silver, Glaze Red, Candy White, and Starry Black.



The front is adorned with full LED headlights and a bold sky grille. For the sides, the car has a leopard jump shoulder line that is complemented by turbine-inspired alloys. As for the rear section, the car has Astor lettering on the trunk lid and chrome rings around the dual exhaust design on the bumper.

As for the interior, the car has an all-digital setup with an integrated 7-inch LCD screen, a luxurious leatherette upholstered interior, and a two-tone interior in sangria red. In terms of comfort, Astor offers rain-sensing windshield wipers, an engine on/off button with smart input, a panoramic roof, 60:40 split rear seats, automatic headlights, 6-way power-adjustable seat, PM 2.5 filter, c vents, and automatic air conditioning. Interestingly, for the first time in this segment, Astor offers electronic steering with mode settings (Normal, Urban, Dynamic).

Under the hood, the Astor will be available with two gasoline engine options. The 1.4-liter 220 turbo engine generates 136bhp and220 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The second gasoline engine is a 1.5-liter VTi that generates 107bhp and 144Nm of torque. This engine is available with a manual transmission and an 8-speed CVT option.
