Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG variant launched in India at Rs 6.58 lakh

Maruti Suzuki has officially launched the CNG variant of the new Celerio priced at Rs 6.58 lakh (ex-showroom). The CNG variant of the hatchback, whose CNG tank capacity is 60 litres, is claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 35.60 km/kg.

The new Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder K10C petrol engine generating 66PS and 89Nm of torque. In CNG mode, the variator produces 56 horsepower and 82 Nm of torque. This engine is mated exclusively to a five-speed manual transmission. The new CNG version of the hatchback is offered in a single variant known as the VXi.

Notable features of the CNG-powered Maruti Suzuki Celerio include body-color bumpers, ORVM, door handles, chrome front grille accents, full wheel covers, front and rear head restraints, manual air conditioning, daytime running IRVM, 60:40 rear luggage rack with split seats, central locking, front and rear power windows, power adjustable ORVM units, gear shift indicator. The model receives safety features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminder, speed alert, speed-sensing auto door lock and shock-sensing auto door unlock function. The new generation Celerio was launched in November 2021, has received nearly 25,000 reservations.
