Mahindra will stop production of the XUV 500, with the launch of the XUV700

Mahindra & Mahindra is preparing to launch their new SUV, the XUV700 in India this year. Based on the company's new W601 SUV platform, Mahindra XUV700 will be a 7-seater SUV.

Mahindra XUV500 was launched in 2011 as the company's flagship model. The XUV500, which was designated as a cheetah-inspired SUV, has become popular with enthusiasts looking for a luxury SUV under Rs. 15 lakh, something that was lacking in the market at the time. However, with the launch of SUVs like the Creta, Seltos, and Jeep Compass, the XUV500 is old and that's where the new XUV700 comes in.
