Mahindra introduced the Thar Roxx, a five-door version of the Thar. The larger version of the trendy SUV will be launched in India on April 15, and will compete with the five-door Force Gurkha.
On the design front, the new Thar Roxx gets circular LED headlights, projector headlights, circular fog lights, a new multi-slat grille and fender ORVMs. In addition, it gets two-tone alloy wheels, black front door handles, a front camera, body-colour rear door handles mounted on the C-pillar, square LED taillights, and faux skid plates.
Although Mahindra has not revealed the interior of the 2024 Thar Roxx, it may include a panoramic sunroof (a single-panel unit for the mid-spec variant), a larger touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, an ADAS suite, and ventilated front seats with Armed Control. In speed, automatic climate control and much more.
Under the hood, the Thar Roxx is powered by 2.0-liter mStallion turbocharged gasoline engines and 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engines mated to six-speed manual transmissions and an automatic torque converter. In addition to traditional rivals like the five-door Force Gorkha, the Thar Roxx can also compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Celtus, Maruti Grand Vitara, MG Astor, Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tygon.
