New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra is recalling over 19,000 units of its XUV700 and Scorpio-N for rubber parts repairs. In a notice on its website, the automaker said it will proactively inspect the rubber bellows inside the bell housing in a batch of 6,618 Scorpio-N units and 12,566 XUV700s assembled between July 1 and July 11, November 2022.
It said an error in the sorting process at the supplier's factory, on specific dates, may have affected the dimensioning clearance of the rubber bellows run inside the bell housing.
" Keeping with the company's stringent quality standards and taking great care, Mahindra has proactively participated in this limited inspection and subsequent correction, free of charge," it added.
The company said customers will be contacted individually by the dealership.
