Mahindra Marazzo BS6 to see a variant re-jig - Autonexa

Mahindra prepares to launch BS6-compatible Marazzo MPV. In the BS6 model, the Mahindra Marazoo will be sold with an improved version of the current 1.5-liter diesel engine, which will also have a selective Catalytic Reduction System (SCR) with a rear-mounted urea tank that helps reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides, all in line with BS6 regulations. The engine will also come with a DPF filter or diesel particle. The MPV will continue to be sold with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The company had previously confirmed the inclusion of a variety with Marazo's automatic gearbox. We hope Auto Marazzo arrives sometime this year.rnrnIn addition to the engine settings for BS6 compatibility, you will also see the Marazzo restart variable. Depending on the sources, the high-spec M8 variant will be lost. All BS6 Compliant Marazzo models will be available in seven and eight-seat configurations. The BS6 Mahindra Marazzo range will start with the M2 entry-level and you'll see new variants like M4 + and M6 +; the last will be the new top setting. Details about equipment changes are not yet known, however, we expect some of the new M8 features to be leaked to the launch time.rnrnMarazzo currently sees strong competition from the famous Maruti Suzuki Ertiga on the lower end and Toyota Innova Crysta on the upper side. MPV will soon see a price increase as well, due to BS6 engine updates. However, after April 1, 2020, Ertiga will only be gasoline and the Innova Crysta that meets the BS6 will be more expensive (especially in the form of diesel fuel), which creates an ideal point for the BS6 Marazzo. By eliminating the existing high-spec M8 tuning, the company aims to create a smaller price range for Marazzo, with the new high-spec M6 + variant considered more valuable than the M8. Looking at Marazzo's retail sales between 9.99 to 14.77 rupees lakh (former showroom, pan-India) right now, this would help Mahindra generate more sales.rnrnAlso read:- Skoda-Volkswagen India plans two months of shutdown in 2020rnrnImage source-clicknow
