Kia India's Sales Surge 23.8% to 25,026 Units in February 2025

Kia India is on a roll! The automaker reported an impressive 23.8% year-on-year growth in February 2025, selling 25,026 units compared to 20,200 units in the same month last year. This surge highlights Kia’s growing dominance in the Indian market, with the newly launched Kia Syros playing a crucial role in boosting sales.

Kia’s Bestsellers in February

  • Kia Sonet: The subcompact SUV led the charge with 7,598 units sold.
  • Kia Seltos: The popular midsize SUV followed with 6,446 units sold.
  • Kia Carens: The MPV maintained steady demand, selling 5,318 units.
  • Kia Syros: The latest addition contributed 5,245 units, with over 20,000 bookings in the pipeline.
  • Kia Carnival: The premium MPV received a strong response with 239 units sold.

Kia’s Growing Market Presence

  • Around 46% of customers are opting for top-variant models, showing demand for premium features.
  • Kia exported 2,042 units in February to over 70 international markets.

  • Kia India currently operates 700 touchpoints across 300 cities, strengthening its customer reach.

Kia’s Vision for the Future

Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales & Marketing at Kia India, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions. The Syros launch introduces segment-first features like a panoramic sunroof and Level-2 ADAS, addressing the market demand for advanced SUVs.

Since its entry into India in 2019, Kia has consistently expanded its lineup, with models like the Seltos, Sonet, Carens, Carnival, EV6, and EV9. The company’s Anantapur plant in Andhra Pradesh, with an annual capacity of 300,000 units, has played a crucial role in meeting domestic and export demands.
