Kia India appoints Tae-Jin Park as executive director and chief sales officer

Park has replaced YS Kim and will be responsible for sales, marketing, service and development of the Kia Motors network; effective appointment immediately.rnrnKia Motors India (KMI) today announced the appointment of Tae Jin Park as CEO and Sales Director of the company, and immediately confidential. Park replaced Yong S Kim, who was instrumental in establishing the Kia brand in India.rnrnAccording to the company, Park will be responsible for increasing sales, marketing, service and development of the Kia automobile network in the country.rnrnKia Motors India says Kim helped position the brand among the top five automakers in just four months of operations, and will now return to the company’s headquarters in Seoul, South Korea.rnrnThe manufacturer says that the new appointment will ensure that Kia maintains the positive momentum it has gained in the Indian market. Park has more than 30 years of experience in the auto industry in his new position, having recently served at Kia Motor Corporation's headquarters as head of operations for the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Prior to that, Park held the position of Chief Sales Officer, Kia Motors Mexico.rnrnCommenting on the appointment, Kookhyun Shim, managing director and CEO of Kia Motors India said: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Tae-Jin Park as ED and CSO for Kia Motors India.
