Hyundai is planning to introduce the Hyundai i20 N of the famous N brand to the Indian market. The N brand is known for creating high-performance, fun-to-drive cars that are well received by the public in markets such as Germany and the United Kingdom. Hyundai N Line cars are equipped with a powerful engine and have some suspension adjustments along with the exterior and sporty interior.

The report claims that the new Hyundai i20 N Line will be the first product of the new N brand in India. The model is expected to be launched in mid-2021. This Hyundai i20 N comes with performance-oriented design cues such as the grey line on the front bumper and the black cascading grille with the N Line badge. The grille pattern is inspired by the square-shaped flag, further emphasizing the race-inspired look of the new Hyundai i20 N Line.
The Hyundai i20 N Line comes with a stylish rear bumper, a triangular fog lamp, and a dual-muffler exhaust system. Inside the cabin, the hatchback features N-branded sports seats with the N logo and exclusive red stitching, as well as a dedicated N steering wheel. Other enhancements to the N Line include metal pedals and a leather N gear shift knob with red inserts.
Hyundai i20 N engine details
The new Hyundai i20 N Line engine is a 1.0-liter T-GDI petrol engine, which is capable of producing 118 hp and a torque of 172 Nm. The company claims the new Hyundai i20 N lineup has been improved in terms of suspension, engine response, and exhaust noise. The International Spec model also comes with 48V lightweight hybrid technology for improved efficiency.
Performance-oriented Hyundai i20 N details
The company is also reportedly planning to introduce the new performance-oriented Hyundai i20 N hatchback. It is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbo petrol engine that produces 201 hp and a torque of 275 Nm. The new Hyundai i20 N is claimed to hit 0-100 km / h in just 6.7 seconds before it reaches a top speed of 230 km / h.
Hyundai i20 N price range
While the new Hyundai i20 N Line is expected to be priced at around Rs 12 lakh, the performance-oriented Hyundai i20 N is expected to cost around Rs 25 lakh to Rs 30. The i20 N will be imported under the government’s ruling to import 2,500 cars without going through a domestic homologation process.
