โœฆ AI Summary

The Hyundai Bayon and Hyundai Creta will soon sit side by side in Hyundai's India line-up, with the Bayon launching on 26 October 2026. Positioned between the Venue and the Creta, the Bayon is expected to lead on technology, with larger dual screens, a generative AI voice assistant, and a more advanced ADAS suite. The Creta keeps its edge in engine choice, size, and space. Bookings for the Bayon are open at Rs 11,000.

Three Features Where the Bayon Leads
Bayon Interior

According to early reports, the Bayon gets three features that the Creta does not match. These include:

  • Two 12.3-inch curved screens: one for the odometer and the other one for entertainment, contrary to the Creta’s two 10.25-inch screens.
  • Generative AI voice recognition: It understands natural speech in multiple languages and also receives updates. Autonexa has mentioned that this is the first feature of a Hyundai model in India.
  • Smart Sense Level 2 Pro ADAS: The top-spec suite uses three radars and 12 parking sensors, and adds navigation-based smart cruise control, highway driving assist, blind-spot detection, a 360-degree camera and a dashcam.

These details are subject to Hyundai's confirmation, as the company has not announced the final Indian specifications.

Engine and Transmission

The Bayon uses a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 115 hp and 144 Nm, the same output as the Creta's base petrol. It is paired with a six-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. A factory-fitted CNG option is expected later.
