Honda Car India Limited (HCIL) has announced the addition of new safety features for its various models. Some variants of these cars also get a few additional features to match up to the rivals. Here we detail these feature additions.
The Honda Elevate gets safety equipment as standard
Elevate SV, V and VX models now feature six airbags and sun visors with vanity mirrors (driver and co-passenger). Previously only the highest spec models had these features. All other models now also feature a three-point rear seat belt, a headrest and a rear seat belt reminder. All its rivals such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyder, MG Astor and Skoda Kushaq already offer these features.

Honda City gets new safety features as standard
HCIL has also equipped the SV and V City variants with six airbags. As a result, all City models now come equipped with six airbags as standard. Even seat belt reminders for all seats are standard on the ICE and City hybrid models. This is in line with segment standards, as the Skoda Slavia, Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Virtus also have these features. This leaves only the Maruti Ciaz, which still offers two airbags and hence cannot match the segment standard of six airbags.
