Ford EcoSport Launches its New Editions under 12lac in India

Ford EcoSport has been quite popular among the Indian citizens over the last few years. It has strengthened the foothold of the American manufacturers in India. There are a number of variants of the car that one can choose from. It has recently launched its new editions under Rs 12 lac and these ones, just like the earlier versions, are expected to gain popularity soon.

Both the cars will be available in both diesel and petrol variants. While the price of the Ecosport Signature diesel variant will be around Rs. 10.99 lac, the petrol one will be priced at around Rs. 10.4 lac. And as for the Ecosport S, the prices of the petrol and diesel versions will be around Rs. 11.37 lac and Rs. 11.89 lac respectively.

One of the prime features of the EcoSport S, the eye-catching sunroof will also be present. It is also termed as the ‘Fun-roof’ by the manufacturers. The new EcoSport S will be featured with 1-liter petrol Ecoboost engine that will be capable of producing 123bhp and 170Nm.

The fog lamp bezel will have a prominent black treatment along with smoked HID headlamps. The dual-tone paint on the exterior (including a new orange tint) will enhance the look. Additionally, there will be orange accents on the seats along with the instrument panel. The eight-inch infotainment system with SYNC 3, a larger 4.2-inch digital information cluster and a tire pressure monitoring system will complement the exterior look well. Moreover, it will come with a reworked suspension setup to give us a sportier experience.

Some of them include the chrome surround for the grille, the black bezel for fog lamps, some new graphics accompanied with roof rails and a rear spoiler. Besides, there will be a few external modifications such as the new 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.

There will be a few subtle updates in the interior of the car such as blue accent on the seat stitching along with the instrumental panel and centre console. All these will offer the car with a standalone appeal and give it an edge over the regular ones. As for the engine options, you will get 1.5liter diesel and 1.5liter petrol engines as already found in the standard models. The fuel efficiency of the petrol engine is 17kmpl and it produces 121bhp and 170Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine, on the other hand, produces 99bhp with a peak torque of 205Nm and offers a fuel efficiency of 23Kmpl. The sun-roof is common for this model too.

These amazing specs of the Signature version will also be available in the regular Titanium variant in the form of action pack.

The new models will give tough competition to the rivals like Tata Nexon and Maruti Brezza. The competitors do not have a variant that will feature a sporting look; Ford Ecosport will outdo them with its sportier alte
ative.
