The first new release from BMW India this year will be the third generation of the BMW X6. BMW India has listed the 2020 coupe SUV on its website, noting the anticipated launch in July 2020. The automaker introduced a global SUV in July 2019. It has a huge overall network and other styling elements compatible with the cars. It is based on the BMW Cluster Architecture (CLAR) platform.

- The rear-wheel-drive sDrive40i
- the all-wheel-drive xDrive40i and

BMW X6
The BMW X6 sDrive40i and X6 xDrive40i are powered by a 3.0-liter (335 hp, 330 lb-ft) 3.0-cylinder six-cylinder turbocharged engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. SDrive40i sends power to the rear wheels, while xDrive40i drives power to all four wheels with a slight penalty to fuel economy.
Standard features include LED headlights, 12.3-inch displays for the infotainment system and instrument cluster, USB and USB-C ports, keyless entry with power button, automatic climate control, and a full range of advanced aids for driver (BMW Driving Assistant) Active). Apple CarPlay is standard, and Android Auto will arrive in mid-2020.
The X6 M50i implements a dual 4.4-liter V8 (523 hp, 553 lb-ft) instead of the built-in sixth line, the M Sport differential system adds brakes, suspension, and exhaust, plus some of the visual gestures inspired by the X5 M. Standard features mirror those of the sDrive40i and xDrive40i, though the M50i has an updated Harman Kardon audio system, four-zone climate control, wireless charging pad, and sporty front seats.
While not all engine options have yet been confirmed, petrol and diesel units are expected.

The most fuel-efficient model in the range is the sDrive40i with rating ratings of 21/26/23 mpg in EPA city/highway / vehicle cycles. In a 21.9-gallon premium gas tank, this variant should handle a compound range of approximately 503 miles. The economy drops slightly to 20/26/22 mpg for xDrive40i, but this is even better than the 16/22/18 mpg M50i. In a full gas tank, the navigation range of the M50i is reduced by about 125 miles compared to the sDrive40i - that's the price to pay for the powerful V8.
