The MG Hector based Baojun 530 Facelift 6-seater SUV launched in China

MG Hector’s Chinese twin, the Baojun 530, will have three seating options i.e., 5-seater, 6-seater, and 7-seater. The Hector is offered as a 5-seater mid-size SUV in India. The Facelifted Baojun 530 is the same platform-based as the Hector with the only difference being that Baojun 530 is 40mm longer. The 7-seater MG Hector is expected to launch in India by the year 2020. Both MG and the Baojun brands are owned by the same company that is SAIC Motor.rnrnThe Hector SUV was launched in India in the month of June 2019, it was the first car of MG that had been launched in the country. The car got impressive reviews and huge demand. The Hector's Chinese sibling, the Baojun 530, is selling the 7-seater model of the car in China. The facelifted Baojun 530 also comes in a 6-seater model along with the captain seats for the middle row and a third-row bench and that may possibly be offered in India by the year 2020. With this facelift, the manufacturer has brought a new kind of layout for the car, that includes four individual captain seats for the first two rows and one bench seat for the third row.rnrnThe facelifted Baojun 530 is actually 40mm longer and 10mm lower than the MG Hector SUV in India. Some of its updates include a new front grille, new projector headlamps, and an updated bumper design at the front and the rear. The side profile is basically the same but with a newer set of alloy wheels that helped to enhance the sporty look of the car. In the inside of the car, it has a new vertically stacked 10,4-infotainment system. Another new feature is the completely digital instrument cluster. From the outside, the SUV is bigger and has a sporty look.rnrnRelated imagernrnSome other features of the new model include heated mirrors, digital dials, parking sensors, and tyre pressure monitoring system. The dimensions of the car are the length, width, and height at 4695mm, 1835mm and 1750mm respectively. The length of the wheelbase of the SUV is 2750mm.rnrnThe car will be offered with the same 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol unit, that produces 140PS of max power and 250Nm of peak torque. The 2.0-liter diesel engine, though it is due to be updated soon to meet the BS6 emission norms, will be offered soon. It produces a 170PS and a 350Nm that is mated to a 6-speed manual. rnrnIt will have two transmission choices which are a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic.rnrnThe  5 and the 7-seater versions are currently being sold in some selected markets of Asia. And now we will see how MG will bring a 6-seater version of the 530 Suv car with a 7-seater layout for the Indian market. It may compete with the 7-seater Tata Harrier and Toyota Innova Crysta. rnrnThe current price of the MG Hector is between Rs 12.18 lakh and Rs 16.88 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India) and competes with the Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV500, Renault Captur, and the Nissan Kicks. You can expect the new facelifted version with more seats to be priced more than the current models. rnrnMG Motor India has already sold more than 3,500 units of the Hector and also has a backlog of 28,000 cars. MG has stopped the bookings for the car right now and will be reopening them in the next month.
