Maruti Suzuki Vitara expected to launch in august 2018

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara is scheduled to be launched in India more or less around the second half of 2019. It will contend against the likes of Hyundai Creta.

Maruti Suzuki presently doesn't have a really tough challenger within the compact SUV area. At the instant, holding the fort for Maruti, in this section is the S-Cross, which is basically a crossover.

As 2019 draws closer the Indian auto enthusiasts are expectant that the Indo-Japanese automaker will bring the Vitara C-SUV to India. It is likely to substitute the S-Cross and take its place above the Vitara Brezza. It will come within the price range of INR 9 lakh to INR 14 lakh. As a result, it will compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Jeep Renegade and the Renault Duster.

Maruti first revealed the new car at the Paris Motor Show in 2014. It was the remodeled version of the concept SUV IV-4. Vitara runs on naturally aspirated 1.5L petrol engine that produces 100.5bhp along with max 150Nm of torque. The diesel engine is a 1.3L turbocharged version that produces 88.5bhp along with max 200Nm of torque. The petrol variant will be getting a 5-speed manual transmission or maybe a 6-speed automatic transmission. The car is likely to make its way to the showrooms In August in India.

The huge front frame comes in chrome polishing and is made with carbon fibre which makes it better-quality than its counterparts. The back is clustered with tail lights, rear fog lamps, high mounted stop lamp, rear windows washer, body matching tailgate and demister. From the side the car looks chic and stylish. Maruti will launch the car in variety of colours like Phoenix Red, Clear Beige, Noctu
al Blue, Pearl White, Bluish Black Pearl and Silky Silver.

It seems Maruti Suzuki has been planning to launch the 2018 Vitara in India for a while as it was spotted testing in a production-ready variant which is not even disguised. Unlike test vehicles, which sport red number plates, this vehicle surprisingly sports a general one. When checked online, this vehicle is registered with Gurugram North Authority and is active right now. The general number plate suggests that this vehicle has already enlisted with the transport authority.

The new generation iteration of this compact SUV will feature a couple of similarities to the Brezza, specifically the side panels and dual-tone body colours. While the latter measures less than four-meter in length, it will host overall extended dimensions. Comparing this to the Hyundai Creta, the latter is bigger in terms of exterior dimensions.

Suzuki has been largely successful in transforming itself as a premium car maker with the launch of the NEXA dealerships. The company sells cars like Ignis, Baleno, S-Cross and the Ciaz through its NEXA dealerships. Recently, the company’s Chairman, RC Bhargava hinted that they may consider launching the Suzuki Vitara in India in the coming future.

While not much is known about the Vitara, Suzuki might launch the car by the end of August 2018. When launched, the car will rival the Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV500, Renault Duster and the Honda BR-V.
