Hero Updates its Two-Wheeler Lineup with the 2024 Xtreme 160R 2V at Rs 1.11 Lakh

In a move to keep its two-wheeler offerings fresh, Hero has introduced the 2024 Xtreme 160R 2V in India, priced at Rs 1.11 lakh (ex-showroom). This new price point makes the bike Rs 10,000 more affordable than its predecessor, likely aimed at boosting sales ahead of the festive season. This update follows the recent launch of the Xtreme 160R 4V variant. While the core mechanics of the motorcycle remain unchanged, it features subtle design tweaks and new features.

The overall design of the Xtreme 160R 2V remains largely the same, with the most notable change being the tail lamp, which now sports Hero's signature H-mark. The seat has been redesigned with a flatter profile and lower height for easier pillion access. On the tech front, the digital dashboard now includes a Drag Race Timer with two modes: D1 for measuring 0-60 kmph and D2 for a quarter-mile distance of 402 meters. The 2024 model is available in a single Stealth Black color and features a disc-drum braking setup.

Under the hood, the Xtreme 160R 2V is powered by the same 163.2 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, delivering 14.79 bhp and 14 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Suspension is managed by a telescopic fork at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear.
Overall, the 2024 Xtreme 160R 2V combines familiar performance with new features and a more attractive price, making it a compelling option in Hero's lineup.
