The 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe 4MATIC has been launched in India with a price tag of ₹1.10 crore (ex-showroom). This new-generation luxury SUV marks its return after a two-year hiatus, featuring a refreshed design and enhanced performance. The GLC 43 Coupe showcases advanced technology and distinctive AMG styling.
Design and Styling
Built on the same platform as the current GLC SUV, the 2024 GLC 43 Coupe 4MATIC boasts a striking design, including the signature AMG Panamericana grille, aggressive bumpers with larger air intakes, and exclusive AMG alloy wheels.The sloped roof of the coupe makes it look more dynamic and sporty than the regular GLC.
Powertrain and Performance
The new GLC 43 Coupe is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four turbocharged petrol engine, a switch from the previous 3.0-liter V6. This engine, handcrafted in Affalterbach, features an electric exhaust gas turbocharger—technology inspired by Formula 1—and a 48-volt mild hybrid system. It produces 415 bhp and 500 Nm of torque, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 4.8 seconds. A 9-speed AMG Multi-clutch transmission controls the power and provides all-wheel drive. While torque is slightly reduced compared to the previous model, the new engine provides 33 bhp more power, enhancing both efficiency and performance.
Interior and Features
The interior maintains the standard GLC layout but adds AMG-specific touches, including an AMG performance steering wheel, sports seats, and a black cabin with red contrast stitching. It features various driving modes, adjustable suspension, and a three-stage AMG steering system for a customized driving experience.
The 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe 4MATIC, arriving in India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), offers a mix of cutting-edge technology, refined design, and thrilling performance for luxury SUV enthusiasts.
