KTM RC125 DELIVERIES COMMENCE IN INDIA

rnrnKTM dealerships have begun deliveries of the new RC 125 sportbike across India. The entry-level sportbike was officially launched in India on 19th June. The ex-showroom price of the fully-faired motorcycle is INR 1.47 lakh.rnKTM RC 125 was launched last week and now many dealers have started delivering it to customers. It competes with Yamaha’s YZF-R15 V3.0 which is priced at INR 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom).Well, if we see in terms of pricing and performance, Yamaha R15 has an edge over the KTM sportbike. The KTM RC 125 has a muscular look with beefy upside-down telescopic front forks from WP and has an aluminum swing arm. For the rear, the bike comes equipped with a 10-step adjustable monoshock. Mechanically, the bike shares its engine with the KTM 125 Duke.rnFor braking, it uses disc brakes at both ends with a single-channel ABS and Rear-Lift Off protection (RLP). At the back, you get RLP which is a less effective alternative to ABS and basically prevents the lifting of the rear wheel in case of sudden brakes. Some highlights of the motorcycle include clip-on handlebars, dual projector headlamps, split seats, fully digital instrument console and the usual snazzy paint job options.rnKTM RC 125 sportbike has a 124.7cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with fuel injection which comes mated with a 6-speed transmission. The engine is good enough to produce 14.5 HP of maximum power at 9,250 rpm and 12 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. For braking performance, the bike comes equipped with front and rear disc brakes plus the bike also features a single-channel ABS unit.rnFeatures:rnDisplacement – 124.7ccrnSingle Cylinder EnginernCooling Type – Liquid-CooledrnMax. Both of them are much more powerful than the KTM, but the very near pricing range puts them in a stiff competition.rnrnThe R15 V3 goes for Rs. 1.41 Lakhs and the RS200 goes for Rs. 1.39 Lakhs (prices ex-showroom). The power figures are lesser than its competition, but being the lightest in the segment, it has good acceleration figures.
